Church announce fees for weddings, baptism and funeral ceremonies

Orthodox Churches in central Albania, announced for the first times fees for religious ceremonies, in an attempt to save the regional administration from bankruptcy, news television Top Channel announced today.

According to the news report, for wedding ceremony there is a fee of 3k lek, (25 euro) while for baptizing a baby the fee is 2k lek, (worth 16 euros).

The same fee should be pay by relatives in case of funeral ceremonies. Fees are published in any church under Metropolitan of Berat, some 100 kilometers in south of Albania. Religious ceremonies have not legal value in Albania.
